Addiction?

On the other day while having Strawberry Trifle after dinner, we took a bit of cream in a spoon and put in Anirud's mouth. This was probably his first taste of something outside his routine diet of milk & other baby food. The minute he tasted it, he had an immense liking and was salivating. After few more spoons, though he was craving for more - we had to stop it as he was just getting better after his tooth issues. Perhaps, this is how addiction towards sweet & creamy stuff starts.

I read today that children develop their food likes and dislikes when in the womb! So mother's who eat lots of fruit and veg during pregnancy have children who are prone to like them. Perhaps your wife had lots of strawberry trifle :)

Please...Please.... do not allow him to develop a sweet tooth. Most of them do not understand. They slowly start craving for chocolates. I have loads of relatives kids who lost their teeth due to sweets in their early ages. Also, they are in their late teens and early twenties now...who have turned to be obese and trying their level best to reduce their weight. Investment at early age is difficult at later stage....
